    Saddlebag Guards on 2014 SG

    Seems to me HD should have put saddlebag guards on the 2014 SG right out of the gate. I know they are going for that clean stripped down look but to me that is a must. A gentle laydown and the saddlebag is ruined! That looks like one of the first add-ons I would think... anyone?

    I am willing to bet that it is purposely done! Therefore the consumer will spend more cash by adding them later on.

    I'm considering going the other way and removing the engine guard. Most customized baggers, or motorcycles in general for that matter, don't have crash guards.

    Im okay with HD leaving them off, and letting owners add them if they like. I've got lots of stuff that I've pulled off over the years - I'd rather decide what to add, rather than what to remove. My respectful two cents -

    I guess I am just a little irked cause I have so much other stuff I want to add now this has got to be done too!

    Engine crash guards are staying for me. It's nice in early or late season to put on soft lowers. I also am looking to add bag guards. I think just the front vertical one, not the side horizontals.

    I added the bag guards yesterday to my FLHXS. I figured if I ever dropped it, It would give you something to grab along with the handlebar to pick it up.

    I've never picked up a Harley big-twin that did not have saddlebag guards. I guess I should get a set. I like the look with out them though.
