I did the same with an extra FOB and just change them out every 4-6 months. The batteries last a long time in these and when changing them, the settings are NOT lost.

I'm embarrassed to tell you how much $$$ I've spent on seats only to have buyer remorse later. Now, for a long ride (300-500 miles), I found comfort with a gel pad over my OEM seat. :cool:

I already thought of that. Pick up a regular "used" engine guard and some vivid black hard lowers on Amazon and your good to go. For the money- these are pretty damn good!

I finally gave up on them. When they worked they were great but unfortunately, inconsistent (2018-19).

Personally I don't worry about it-it works fine even though the connectors are different sizes.

I have a 2018 with the newer Boombox GTS radio. You can't turn off the radio by itself- only lower the volume. You can power down the entire head unit by holding the power switch for 5 seconds.

I tried FOBO twice: when it first came out and then again after their 2nd "improved" attempt. It was not a good experience either time.

Anyway I look at this product / project, it looks like an overpriced exercise in futility.
