Chopper Build

OK, so I think I want to undertake an old school chopper build. When I finalize my divorce, I should have enough money set aside to do this. I am not looking to really fab from the ground up for this first time. What I am envisioning is a rolling frame, a motor, transmission, etc. Almost like a jigsaw puzzle that you have to buy each piece for to get what you want. A kit would be perfect even. Is that a thing?

Does anybody know a web site that is good about explaining what to get and what goes with what? For example, I want a springer front end that is chopped slightly. I do not want a long extreme front end. I also want buckhorn bars but do not know how to go about sizing everything for my personal fit.

Any help is appreciated.

Get an 09 and up efi sportster and build away.... xlforum.net. has everything you need to know. Good to look at even if you just have to build a big twin chopper.
