I am an owner of a 2020 street glide special .

I’d like to know if the original suspension would be good enough for me and my wife, my weight is 225 pounds and my wife weights 230 pounds. If the original suspension is not enough, what would you recommend?

Thank you and have a good day!

I live in North East Iowa and the rear suspension was one of the first things I changed.
I'm 200 and my wife is 180.
My indie shop recommended Legend Revos.
I thought they were a bit pricey but after driving home from the shop my wife actually called the shop back to say thank you cause they made such a difference in the ride.
I figured buying a touring bike the suspension would be the last thing I had to change.
I was wrong.

I highly recommend any of the Legend Suspension REVO-line of shocks. These come in three styles, REVO (non-adjustable), REVO-A (adjustable) and REVO-ARC (remote reservoir-adjustable). These vary in features offered as well as price but depending on your overall budget and goals for your suspension upgrade, you are certain to find a set that meet your individual needs perfectly.

The links below will re-direct you to our website where you can learn more about each style. If interested in talking further, email me directly at lindsey @ ironacesspeedshop.com (no spaces before / after '@').

I have a question for you. I saw an archived post by you on another forum concerning when to use 12" REVO A shocks on a Street Glide. You mentioned that it is best to stick with 12" Legend REVO A shocks on a Street Glide if you are only changing the rear shocks. Keeping front suspension stock. You still recommend that? I ordered a set of 12" shocks yesterday based on the recommendation of the guy on the phone at Eastern Performance Cycles. Naturally every post I have read yesterday says go with 13" shocks. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Most folks that purchase from us at Iron Aces Speed Shop are going with the 13" on the Street Glides these days so they can get more travel, however, we do still have folks that opt for the 12" that are just as happy with their shock upgrades.
