What am I doing wrong????

Installed the Trask vented Transmission cover and got oil all over everything...

I installed it and roughed the hose up under the seat then resting underneath the right side cover.

After riding a while I started smelling oil burning, when I pulled over at the gas station and found the right side pipe and saddle bag covered in oil. I'm not sure how long I was riding this way before this started.

Luckily I was able to make it back home without issue. After getting the bike back into my garage I was able to see just how lucky I was.... The break rotor and the right side of the rear tire was sprayed in oil. Obviously not a good situation...

I'm not sure where I went wrong, has anyone had this issue???20210425_160234.jpg20210425_160257.jpg20210425_160628.jpg20210425_160749.jpg20210425_161729.jpg

Do you have a picture of the trask cover?

Looks a little wet by the front bolts? Did you remove the factory gasket when you swapped the covers? Are you sure it's coming out of the breather filter?

It is a little wet on the front bolt, but that happened while removing the original cover and factory gasket.

Definitely coming from the filter.

I would recheck oil level and possibly a leak down test. Either oil is over filled or you have a severe case of crankcase pressure.
