What's up guys! I currently own a 2009 Night Train (the last year Harley made them). I bought it brand new in 2009 and it is my first Harley I ever owned, but test drove a 2015 SGS and fell in love with it this past weekend. I'm headed back to the dealership this Saturday to see if we can make a deal within my budget to trade the Night Train in for the 2015 SGS.

On the Night Train I have a full stage 1 setup with Vance and Hines Super Radius and a screamin' eagle air filter, race tuned at my local New Orleans HD.

My goal is to be able to purchase the bike and upgrade to stage 1 at the same time. Looking at V&H Power Duals with 4" twin slash round slip ons or hi output slip ons and screaming' Eagle Chisel Extreme Billet air cleaner.

Wish me luck and I look forward to discussing the SG with you all!

Welcome from Reno, NV and good luck with the purchase.... You will not regret it.... hope it all goes well for you...

Something to think about.... the ESP ( Extended Service Plan ) can be added at a later date for a little more money.... but it could make a difference in your decision when the numbers are crunched.

I Got my 14SGS for $5 more on a payment over a 14SG doing just this.

Perfect, thanks for the heads up!

Big_Johnsta- Welcome from Nashville, TN. Hey, If the numbers aren't right on a 2015 SGS, go for a 2014 and a great deal. There were NO changes between the years other than colors.

Yeah thanks, that's what I've heard. I see no reason why I shouldn't get a good deal. I have an excellent credit score and my Night Train has only 6K miles on it, garage kept, full stage 1 upgrade. It's a very nice bike and they are hard to find. Especially with low miles and in perfect condition. The dealer didn't have any new 2014 SGs available, only used. And I'm spoiled and have to have new...lol

I'm going in tomorrow with a tough set of criteria (want to pay no more than MSRP because I know some dealerships jack up the price, zero % interest or close to it, good value on trade) but I feel like by having such a good credit score and trade that I can afford to play hardball a little bit(hopefully I'm not wrong).

MSRP stated $22,899 for SGS in vivid black and after some research online I found out that their invoice price is about $18K, so even at MSRP they still make several thousand. Also, sometimes I hear they charge freight and setup. Through a lot of research I have found that a lot of dealers will waive this, but even if they don't then combined it shouldn't be more than about $750 for both.

We'll see how it goes, if it's meant to be, it will be!!

Welcome to the fun and good luck with you dealings. Just something to keep in mind if the one dealer wont give you your price move on to another dealership. Sometimes to save you just have to travel to the next guys and they will deal. That worked for me and cut about 5,000 off the price and the dealerships are 50 miles apart.

Welcome from Orlando, FL! I actually used to live in NOLA once upon a time... Very brave of you to ride those horrendous roads on a bike. lol

Seriously though, I hope the deal works out for you. I stated with a Sportster and 6 months later traded it in on my SG, and haven't looked back since.

Also- You have some haggling room on APR depending on your credit score. They also have other products they like to "fit" in the deal:
Add on Bling
Extended Waranty (You can do this later up to 2 years from date of sale).
Extended Service plan.
Tire Plan (No charge replacements).

Yes indeed!! They gave me $13K for my Night Train.
Paid the MSRP price for the SGS listed online. Got a 3.99 interest rate on a 5yr note and also rolled financing of $3,500 worth of parts into the deal. Couldn't be happier!!

Congrats!!
Thanks man I posted a pic in the pics thread. Once all my extra stuff comes in and is installed later this week I'll post an updated pic.

P.S. - put about 100 miles on the bike today and love it!! Can't wait for next weekend with the new exhaust and all. It'll be like a brand new bike all over again.
