Does anyone have Electra Glo saddlebag lights installed? P/N 67800448

If so, do the lights stay on in the auxiliary mode?
I installed a set and they do, so I'm wondering if that's a normal function or not?

I would assume so since they function as running lights also. And since they plug into the existing harness, they would function just like the legacy brake/turn/running lights.

I went and looked and mine do.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if it was normal. I did ask in the HD store if they could be disabled in auxiliary mode, and they said to contact my local dealer, which I haven't done yet. I'll post back once I
hear from them.

I was just looking at these yesterday as a possible add-on to increase day time visibility.

Can you post a picture of them installed? How difficult was the installation?

Thanks!

I looked really long at these but decided to go with Custom Dynamics Plasma Rods instead. They are more subtle and retain the stock looks of the MC.

I wanted something that went out wider.. thus the Electra-Glo. Especially down here in Florida with the snow birds.
Anything that sticks "out" more. Them squinty birds have a hard time time seeing as it is. So anything is a plus.
To each his own...

+1 on getting the lights out wider. Just got mine in the mail today. Got the smoke lense also. Gonna shoot mine black before I put them on.

I just got done installing a set of red on my 14 SGS, they do stay lit in accessory mode, wish I could disable that.
They are very very bright, I did the tri bar upgrade too. I really want to be seen.

Same here, without the center tail light Harley discontinued a few years back its pretty dim back there in stock form!

Easy install... these are the smoked version on my 2015 SG

They look real good on there and seem very bright. It seems to me that if they were wired in with the rear turn signals then they would not light up with the bike in accessory mode. Maybe it is the hot wire lead that was used. This is something I'll look into doing to my bike after the JW evo2 headlamp and after the reduced reach seat.

farmboy- show us the final pics

Mojo, I'll post some pics when I'm done. I'm also gonna go with the custom dynamics stand alone center light and get rid of the stock towel bar. I'm trying to find a curved plate that will cover the mounting holes for the towel bar but so far no luck.
I bought a PY after talking to the guys there, it's close but no cigar. I'll be posting that.

farmboy- there were some comments from someone here on the forums last year sometime regarding that center light and punching a hole in the rear fender. Check it out before you leap and see if it's right for you.

I got these installed today as well as the tri-bar light upgrade.

Substantial difference in rear light output! I love them!

Looking very nice The more I see these bag light's the better I like them I know I want to add more light to the back of the bike I worry about getting rear ended because of the lack of visability from the stock rear light's during the day I'm kinda in between the Plasma rod's and these bag lights

I have these installed also but haven't checked into the wiring to see about disabling auxiliary lighting. The lights also make a for a nice handle when removing the bags.

On my way to South Padre Island Thursday evening, a car pull beside me and ask about the lights. He asked if they were add-ons and said the were bright and looked super sharp!
