LRS 9" ultra recurve.

Just installed this on my 15 SGS. I am 5'10". There is now no buffeting even if I sit straight up. Just a quick test ride tonight but so far I like it.

I just put an 8" LRS Ultra on my SG and I love it. I also ordered an 8" Flat Top shield from LRS, and it is just as sweet. No more buffeting!

I have the same 9" LRS Ultra Elite with light tint. Huge difference. The OEM windshield made me hate riding the bike. The new one makes me want to ride more. I'm 6'3", works like a champ.

I am about the same size you are. Do you look over the top of the shield or are you looking through it.

I know you didn't ask me but I have a 9" LRS too ... I look over it. I'm 6'3 also LOVE IT, makes all the difference.

The thing with these windshields, is that the lip on the top makes the wind flow up higher over your head like a taller non lip windshield would. I had a 10" straight HD shield, and decided to go with an 8" LRS with lip. Gives me the same or better wind protection, but looks better and there isn't as much windshield to look over, so you get a better view. I'm 6' tall, but really your height is somewhat insignificant, because it depends on the length of your torso vs legs, whether you slouch or sit erect, whether you want to look over or through the windshield, etc

I'm 6'5'' and I just bought the 9" javelin absolutely love it no wind buffeting what so ever. I also like the fact that it doesn't look like an old mans bike or a gold wing with its design.

14POSE, Can you post pictures of the javelin on your ride from different angles. The website pic is lousy and I'm thinking about getting one. Also, you didn't like the windsplitter?

Give me some time and I'll try to throw some up. I suck at posting pics. I didn't like the 10" windsplitter because it wasn't tinted and not very good looking in my opinion. It reminded me of a Gold Wing.

The bike is new to me with 1400 miles on it.Those are used Bassani slip ons.i just added them with ak&n filter. No tuning yet.

Yeah I bought my 14 SG and after the 1st ride that shield that came with the bike was useless. Put on a LRS 10" recurve and couldn't be happier.. No more bobble head effect..
