Ya long time hd forum member! Oh believe me them CFR's are staying with me until I can grab a different header setup for sure! Picking the bike up Saturday morning. Not having the CFR's on def is a bummer but it's just a waiting game for things to come together....

Anyone having trouble with tuning the CFR's. I have V & H true duals, Power Commander, and S & S AC with stock cover. It's been tuned twice but last time the service guy called the CFR maker to get the right tune. I have a lot of decel popping which I don't mind but it has this annoying sudden loss of power like a resitation. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing that. Also which fuel management system are you running. Any info you could provide would be helpful.

RTrooper- If you have that much decel popping, it sounds like you need a new map!

I remember one time when I thought I didn't have any air leaks, it turned out that my header bolts were loose or they got that way when the exhaust ring gaskets shrunk. Check all 4 at your cylinder heads.

Great idea. On my 2009 fatbob, I had a V&H pro pipe put on the day it was dyno'd. I was popping flames on decel when I picked it up. I brought it back and they never tightened the nuts at the cylinder heads. They had to redyno the bike when they were tightened.

Post up some pics and a price in the classifieds, im willing to bet they wont last long. I love the sound of mine.

I got a lead on a cheap 14 stock header pipe, i will cut it open and gut the cat and try it out, If i dont like it or to loud i will sell it.

14 flhx, if you think it's to loud after you cut out cat let me know, i might be interested in it, i also live in Minnesota so i could just pick up from you and save on shipping.

Rtrooper, no problems tuning mine. I'm using a powervision and fuel moto stage one a/c and de-catted head pipe.

Thanks for the info from all. I still am having problems with CFR's. Now I have to put on an Autotune with requires holes to be drilled into New headers to accomodate the larger O2 sensors. Nobody has seen this set up yet that we can find. (CFR's with V & H True Duals and stage one). Talked to Dynojet, CFR and Vance and Hines didn't have a MAP for this configuration. Talked to alot of peeps and they all said good luck and let us know what works out. So the moral of this story is If you got to have CFR's either use stock headers or prepare to throw up some serious cash for an exhaust system. Say $2,600 - so far.

I just received my CFR. looking to buy my v/h dresser dual header pipe. Never heard anyone say they had a problem setting up cfr pipes

Did you ever look at a SE tuner and dyno tune versus the auto tune?
