Just curious to see if any forum members were running the LED main light and/or LED Aux lighting. I am trying to plan my build out and would appreciate any feedback on the light that is produced and any good/bad experience with the lighting.

I was very unhappy with my lighting from the factory. I adjusted the headlight to give me what I wanted from a headlight and added the passing light kit to make for a wider beam of light. In the rear I added the led light bar that attaches to the top of the rear light bar. I am happy with the lighting now, but quite unhappy with the fact I have managed to wipe all the chrome plating off of the cheap chinese made plastic housing.

Not the best pic but you can get an idea.

very nice deep purple. Other than the lighting, what other mods have you done? Looks like chrome latches on the saddle bags, aftermarket exhaust maybe?

The only mods in that pic are the passing lights, heated grips, and I kept the windshield and windshield bags off of my last Eglide. The chrome latches came stock with the custom color. Engine and exaust are stock with no plans for any mods.

Cool. Again, I'm in the planning stage of my purchase late next year for a '14 model. While I know things can change, I'm just planning out my build on paper and saving my cash to buy.

I have the HD passing lights added and I upgraded my main bulb to a Sylvania Ultra which is a much brighter bulb and stil legal at 55w

Nice looking ride deep purple. I see you are from Gods Country. I know Oscoda fairly well myself

Hey thanks spoiler! It is Gods country up here. Bow seasons on with guns right around the corner!

When I was a teenager, I used to bow hunt for several years. I enjoyed just being in the woods, building the stand or laying out the bait pile. I'm originally from Midland and lived there for about 30 years.

I installed head and aux LED's from Trucklite and couldn't be happier. Working 12 hour shifts has me riddin to or from work in the dark and in the winter, both ways. But now I can see twice as far down the road and with 180 degree view, I see them critters before it's too late. A little pricey but cheaper than HD and well worth the investment.

HD uses a fan for cooling where as Trucklite uses heat sinks. I think the heat sink is the way to go. Both have a unique look so it goes by preferance. Good luck

I just installed the LED from Harley. Pretty pricey although you can usually find it for 20% off list in the winter. The amount of light is incredible and well worth it. You can see and be seen a whole bunch better. I am in the process of putting in the LED conversion for turn signals. Pretty easy. LED's are plug and play with some minor wiring.

Which headlite did you use from them? any pics?

I recently switched my stock headlight to the Kuryakyn/Truck Lite Phase 7 LED light. I've attached a side by side pic. LED light is on the right. Much brighter that it kinda washes the pic out compared to the stock light on the left. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366403541.653637.jpg

Here is another pic that isn't straight on so you can see the LED light only lights up on the top half of the headlight when on low beam. On high beam the entire light is lit. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366403649.769695.jpg

Any interference problems with that day lighter? If not that's the way I'm going, I see some guys on here having issues with other headlights. I don't want any problems
