Touring seat on streetglide

Same bike. Same problem. Picked up an Ultra seat on eBay and my wife loves it. Problem solved. It will raise you about an inch also but is quite comfy for both.
In 2014 When I bought my 14 SG I sat on several bikes in the dealership showroom. The Ultras and all the Baggers seemed more cramped. Salesman and I measured from the top edge the rear kick up on the drivers seat (just where the seat turns into the passenger area) to the top of the gas cap door and also from the seat mounting screw on the rear fender on all the bikes. Turns out the stock SG seat is 1-1/2" farther to the rear for the driver than the Bagger seats. This might be a factor in your seat selection.
Do you plan on taking long distance trips with your wife on the back? If not, maybe you should consider having your stock seat modified (widened 2" and memory foam added for the passenger section). I did this to mine and my wife was good for 175 miles before she started to complain of butt-burn. Went through all that trouble and only used my modified seat for 3 months before she saw my buddy's CVO Limited with tour pack, an even wider passenger seat area and a wraparound backrest. Needless to say, she wanted that setup. That's what I have now, but I also sent the new seat out to be modified too. Now she's been tested up to 500+ miles in a day with no complaints.
Yeah, I bough the Sundowner from HD to go with my tour pack. I also bought new backrests to match the new seat too. Here's a couple of pics of the modified stock seat and modified Sundowner seat for comparison.

I tried a Saddleman seat. Beautifully made and great stitch work but the seat put me up too high (short inseam) and I wasn't too happy with the back rest. The rider seat and passenger seat were very comfortable. I sent the seat back because of the height. Now I'm using the HD Signature seat. Nice design and the back rest is well thought out by the engineering group. I had a good experience with the Signature seat on my former bike so that's why I went back to that serious on my new Streetglide.
Try the Tall boy seat from HD. I have it , I like it and wife loves its. You can get one new from Hd for around 300--and you can try it at the dealership first.

Pretty sure it's only 14 and up that will fit. I spent the money on a Hammock seat and the wife loves it. It was worth the $ for her to be happy.

I also bought the heated hammock seat for the wife. Mow she wont use any other seat. If I’m doing 300+ miles a day I love it too

I believe 08 and up will fit your streetglide. I believe only the touring bikes that come with a trunk (ultra classic, limited, etc) can only use 14 and up. I have a La Pera Sorrento on my 2015 and it sits you in the same position as the stock seat but is comfortable for the passenger as well, at least my wife is happy with it. This seat used to fit my 2010 road king and my old 2010 road king seat fit on my SG so there you go!
