Always wondered why Harley’s ride like crap.

Gotcha. I'm thinking of going with Harley low reach seat, and lower front suspension by 1 inch, however change my rear shocks to 13 inch. Do you think back of the bike will be higher than front ? Also what lower suspension did you go with in the front ? I'm looking at Harley's premium lowered suspension and Legends 1 inch lower front suspension.

Went with the Harley 1 inch lowering kit for the front, only have 27 inch inseam, that's why am lowering the bike. Sent my seat out to Mean City, they have a real quick turn around even with the holidays here, should get it back in a day or two, had them lower it 1 inch for me with narrow front and padding for my rear.

SGBart interesting take on rear suspension issues, sorry I know this is an old post but I just now stumbled upon it after a long leave of absence from this group.
I noticed everyone talks Legend and ohlins but I'm interested to hear about the new game player and that would be RWD Suspension, they have a helluva shock on the market now.

Wow. Read all of these posts and i must be missing something. I have the stock suspension on this my first HD. Rear shocks set on the lightest setting. I am 185 lbs. The only remark i have is the handling above 90 mph in the corners, has a little shimmy, very minor, but my other bikes did also.
Other than that, i like the ride very well.

Maybe the shock fairy snuck in your garage and put aftermarket shocks on your bike, I've never heard anyone say they are ok with their stock shocks lol
