I posted in the "Paint" section but looking like it might be buried too far to get many views.....

I have a 2015 Black Denim Street Glide Special that I have managed to keep looking perfect since purchase. Last week I took a trip down to Sioux Falls for Hot Harley Nights (fund raiser for Make a Wish of South Dakota). After returning from a very hot weekend in SD and cleaning the bike, I noticed a fine spray of white paint all over the front of the bike.

I’ve tried EVERYTHING that I can think of to remove the paint and nothing works! Of course I’m being extremely careful to not rub on the paint too much. I’ve tried a pressure washer right up to the spots, Harley Denim detailer, rubbing alcohol, a little carb cleaner and found Dr. Beasley’s Matte Paint cleaner which advertises removing over spray from matte paint (at $60 a bottle). NO LUCK!

I’ve always used WD40 on my cars to remove paint and tar but I’m nervous about putting that on my Matte paint.

Please help me! All suggestions are welcome, prefer tested methods!

Thank you!!

Get your self some Mr Clean magic erasers and with just water give that a try. I use them on paint and chrome when I have to remove stuff and never scratched anything yet.

Have you attempted this?? I'm a little hesitant to rub anything on the paint for fear of shining it.

I do thank you for your suggestion, it seems that they are hard to come by. I knew they would be, that's why I'm here.

I use them on my paint when the bugs are stuck on and thick. Have used them to remove oil or plastic, rubber, road tar off chrome exhaust without a scratch. Find a spot and give them a try they work really good for me.
