CFR slip on and V&H Dresser Duals What tuner and intake to use?

I currently have the cfr's. If i add the v@h dresser duals how much louder should i expect it to get? And will it change the sound much?

The CFRs will definitely be much louder when paired with an 'open' header such as the Dresser Duals that does not have the catalytic converter intact simply because the cat does muffle the sound quite a bit. With that, we've had folks say that running them with an open header makes the bike too loud for their liking, especially when making long interstate runs BUT there are others who say that the sound level is perfect. It's really a matter of personal preference.

What I will sometimes recommend folks doing if they are concerned that they may be too loud with an open header is to run them for a while on the stock header with the cat intact to see how they like it. If after that they don't feel they are loud enough, then they can invest in an open header in an effort to get more sound.

Hopefully this helps!!

Well i have 10,000 miles on the bike so i think i had enough time with the stock headers :D

I finally made the decision to match up my cfr's with the v@h dresser duals and go with the fuel pack fp3 and for intake I'm going with screaming eagle heavy breather and adding the teardrop filter cover to match all the edge cut stuff i have on the bike:D

There are lots of good combinations out there. I like my setup for the lack of heat that pipes generally put out but they are very loud. On long trips I either wear my BT earbuds or ear plugs and that helps a lot.

CousinKap what tuner did you end up going with? How do you like it and do you have decel pop?

My CFRs should be here any day and the dresser dual header will be here Tuesday. I'm planing on using fuelmotos air cleaner. But very unsure of what tuner I want. Once I think my mind is set on a tuner I read another thread and think maybe I should get this one instead. Lol

I went with the vance and hines FP3. Works great for me but i have no plans for future engine mods. that is something to consider when choosing your tuner. A friend of mine put a powervision with a fuel moto map on his breakout and that worked out awesome as well
