Got my 1000 mile service and finally had them dyno tune my SE super tuner pro. I don't understand this as well as some of you, I know more about the paint and looks of a bike. Lol. I have the SE stage 1 air cleaner, V&H power duals with V&H 4" blackout rounds slip ons. And it pulls consistently thru the rpms.

Good job Cajun1_us. I have no popping in mine either but did lose about 2 mpg. It was well worth it !

I have been curious about this. I have the V&H power duals headers, MGS slip ons, SE race tuner, and SE heavy breather elite. I had it installed and supposedly tuned at my dealer. I still experience the popping and I notice a strong raw fuel smell whenever the bike is running. I was under the impression that proper fuel management got rid of that strong fuel smell from modern engines. It certainly was not like that prior to the mods. The engine runs smoothly other than the occasinaol popping.

Did you have it dyno-tuned or did they just throw a download at it... the latter would be my guess

Well I've never heard them doing pulls in the back so I'm gonna guess they just did the auto tune thing and called it a day. Sounds like I need to get it done again.

When they installed my header, pipes, and intake, I only had 150 miles on the bike. I had them install the race tuner and do a map. Didn't want to dyno tune at the low miles. My bike ran pretty good, had lots of power, but it burned more gas and the exhaust seemed hot. It also had some deceleration popping till they did the dyno tune. It is like a different bike now.

They gave you a download (canned Map) a dyno is around 3-4 hours and around $300

I went and talked to the dealership this afternoon and yeah they seemed to be very much like they just tried a map they thought would work for my set up. Looks like I'll need to find a good place to tune it on the dyno.

You guys know any good places near Kansas City?

Thanks very much guys!

BTW Cajun, love your paint! I'm sure you hear that a lot but I always love that subtle tone on tone look!
