Has anyone tried the hill country customs basic bagger ape kits? Going on my 06 SG w/o ABS.

I put 15" Burly bars on my '09...you can do it for less than half the price of Hill Country by doing them yourself. Just a thought...

I did use the Burley cable and wire kit, but you have to splice and solder the joints at different lengths rather than use the supplied connectors. It won't fit through the bars like they say to do them.

Those look really good. How are they on long trips? I'm 5' 10" and wanted a bar that's higher and comes back to me an inch or two. I checked prices and I'll save a couple hundred with the burlys.

They took some getting used to, but they are extremely comfortable on long trips! I'm 6'3" (should've went with 16") but I have no more shoulder pain, and don't get uncomfortable riding. If you're looking for pre assembled bars, there's a few other places besides Hill Country...no matter the route, good luck!
