3 weeks ago I bought my first motorcycle. 2014 Street Glide Special. Originally when I was looking I wanted a 2009-2011 to save a little money and get the slightly smaller motor but when this popped up on Craigslist I had to have it because of the color - it goes perfectly with my truck!

So here it is:

2014 Street Glide Special
Daymaker LED Headlight
HCC 16" Bars
Avon Grips
Arlen Ness Intake
Rinehart True Duals
LePera Bare Bones + Passenger Pillion

In the three weeks I did the bars and seat - previous owner did the power mods. Over the winter I will tear it down and powdercoat all the chrome black - having too much fun riding it for now - 500 miles and counting!

Too cool, crazy how the bike and truck are about the same height.

very cool! Congrats and welcome....

Now see if you can get the bike in the back of it! Not to haul it... just for a pic... that would be cool!!!!

That would stir up some poop!

midwesta, welcome from olathe ks....... Nice bike and truck. I grew up in Crystal Lake. 40 some years ago after school we would head out towards Lake in the Hills and race our cars on Ackman RD. I rode my bike up there last month. What use to be open farm land is all houses now. Guess that's progress.
Enjoy you new ride!

Yeah its crazy what has happened in the last 12 years that I have lived here. When I moved here there was almost nothing going on between i90 and Crystal Lake - Randall Road was almost a back road. Now it is basically a parking lot! Stores everywhere!

Funny enough my mom lives off Ackman Road - to do any "racing" after my high school days we had to head out towards Huntley/Union/Marengo area!

So, do you plan on applying the same level of modification to your Streetglide, as you did for your truck and old two wheel toys?

I just bought a house so the glide will most likely just get air ride and all the chrome powdercoated black this winter. Next winter will probably be a different story though haha.
