Hey Group. I ran my bike hard while auto tuning my FP3. I wasn't doing anything abnormal or dangerous, but holding it at the rev limiter, accelerating and decelerating etc. Within a day or 2 I noticed a "thunking" sound at idle from the primary. It continues whether I engage the clutch or whether cold/warm. So it's not the clutch rollover noise some have complained about. Otherwise the bike seems to run fine. At idle t's loud enough I can hear it over my radio and through a helmet.
Took it to Harley and they of course said it's "normal". Although they also said, "we're getting a lot of these lately". Go figure. They ignored the fact that it hasn't done this until last weekend. They claim it's the compensator sprocket and it's known to do make noise. Nothing to worry about.
Wondering if anyone has seen this and/or has any advice? Thanks for the help.
