4 Point Dock OEM stripped screws

Hey all,

Has anyone ever had to deal with a stripped 4 point dock star bit bolt? The bolt is resessed and the head is really narrow and barly has any bite for the SAE tool to grab. The bolt is basically stripped. I'm guessing this has happened to someone before, I hope and they can share what they did.

First I've heard f it but you never hear everything for sure.

Ended up using a EZ out to remove bolts, just took 2 hours to do it. Such a tiring process.

I had that happen on my Switchback. Luckily it also served as the saddlebag dock so it protruded. I ground the head out until it fell off then I was able to use vice grips to turn it out. Made a 30 minute job into a 2 hour job. Glad the ez out worked! Stripped bolt heads stress me out.
