Like many, I found the stock seat on my 14 SGS uncomfortable on longer rides. Not wanting to sink a lot $$$ on a new seat, I started looking at various cushions. After going through endless reviews I decided on the Airhawk R and got it with free shipping for about $170. I've put about 2,000 miles on it in the past 2 weeks and feel like it was definitely a good choice. My wife got one for her sportster and really seems to like it as well. She used it when we road two up and she said it made huge difference on top of the stock seat. We just got back from a 500 mile ride and felt great. I have tried throwing it in the saddle bag after a gas stop to see if I really noticed a difference and probably didn't get 40 miles down the road before I pulled over and put it back on. The real trick to it is only putting very little air in it. It looks like it's almost flat and probably raises me 3/8" off the seat. It does give you the sensation of floating a bit but in complete control. If anyone is looking for an improvement over the stock seat without sinking a bunch of money into it, this might be the answer. I look forward to the ride to Sturgis in less than two months.

Brews-
I got an Airhawk as well for my 2015 FLHXS. At the same time, my buddy in Seattle paid $800+ for a custom made and has had it re-fitted 3 times and is still not comfortable on it. Didn't take me long on my new bike (about 100 miles), to figure out I was going to have to have a new seat. On my Dyna I was really hurting at each stop after riding an hour. I found one on Amazon for $78 and figured what the heck. It takes a little bit of seat time to figure out how much air to put in it (very little- as per instructions), but once you get it dialed in, it is very, very comfortable- I mean, no pain or loss of feeling or anything. I also have a backrest so I can peg up and go a long, long way. You just sort of forget it's there until you realize that you're not hurting. I strongly urge riders to spend a little on an Airhawk before spending big on a seat- that you don't get to test ride. Not meaning to promote, but these things really work.
