2 yrs ago I installed Khromewerks 2+2 narrow sweeper handlebars but I'm still getting terrible back pain. I called Khromewerks but they dont have any bars for short guys (I'm 5'5). I was reading online and came across Wildone (WO). Called them and one of the techs there said they specifically designed WO579 for short guys. Just wondering if anybody here has them and what do like/don't like about them ? BTW I'm not looking for rise or ape look, just a good pull back with relaxed feel.

You input is really appreciated. I've ridden in pain for almost 20,000 miles and I need a solution. I'm planing to do lot of cross country trips this yr plus Saddlesore 1000,1500 and Coast to coast ride if possible.

While I'm at it, do you guys have any recommendations on black heated grips.

Thank you

I’m 5’8”.
I had WO 10” on my SG. Loved them.
I now have WO 12.5” on my Ultra Ltd.
I should have went 14s.
I love the width and grip angle of the Chubby’s.
Used to get a stinger in the neck, a lot. Never again after installing WO bars.

I have the 10" Wild Ones on my SG. I had exactly the same problem as did buckshot; a pain in the upper back between the shoulder blades. I have put higher bars on all 3 touring models I have owned; 97 RK, 08 Ultra, and this one. I don't think it is only the height that makes things better for us shorter guys (me 5'8") but really the width. I kept my bars at 10" because I wanted to stay "within" the fairing, along with my hands in colder temps. I had to delete the fairing mirrors because they were worthless. And it might sound goofy, but I bought a set of cheap Sportster mirrors and mounted them upside down. I can clearly see behind me. Personally, I don't like the look that the higher bars give to the profile of the bike with the fairing, though higher, like 14" or 16" are my preference.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for ur feedback. How do you like the reach and pullback of the bars ? Are they comfortable for long distance ? Do they make you sit relaxed ? Looks liek I'm 5'5 and ur 5'8

I have mine rotated as far forward as I can. As I said above, I love the width and grip angle. Would use these again on another bike. I’ve rode up to 1150 miles in a day. My ass gets tired, but no neck or shoulder issues. When I travel, I usually slab it both ways to have more time in between. So a 6, 7 or 800 mile day is nothing.

I am 5'6" and have the 10" Wild 1's on my SG as well. I would agree with FLHX14, it is the best mod I have done, I can now ride for hours with absoloutely no back, neck or shoulder discomfort whatsoever.
The WO bars are very good quality and look great, you won't be disappointed should you choose go with them.

Hope this helps,
