I cannot stand listening to local radio and really want to stream my phone to radio, so I was thinking a single din car radio with Bluetooth. Thing is I want to still be able to use handlebar controls.
I would be happy with a way to add Bluetooth to my radio if possible.

2012 glide.

What year is your ride...........lots of different ways to answer this question if it is a Pre or post 2014 SG

Putty,

Look into the Metra Kit.... retains hand controls

This video shows a Metra Kit in a 14/15, but they make kits for the older single DIN HK radios.... not a bad price either.

Check out what you need here... COMPLETE KITS... nothing else needed

Call Peter Jensen at Soundz and he can answer any and all questions you may have

Thanks!! I my order the $550 one from Soundzcustomz

Wait... the most expensive METRA KIT that they advertise is only $350.... What are you looking at? You must be looking at the Aquatic AV.... either way... call Peter and ensure what you are wanting is EXACTLY what you are getting.

I think they offer the kit with a radio. This is my winter project.

the only real difference between a car stereo an a marine stereo, is the marine stereo has an extra layer of coating on the circut boards. Makes them a little more water resistant

yep... the more protection you have from the elements, the better...

I think I will be getting this one and saving $200. Calling them tomorrow. I think I can install it myself now after watching a YouTube video. Looks simple.

That one is designed to work with the pre '14 hand controls and to fit in the same hole as the factory radio. I'd like to use the same radio in my '15 with the Metra kit.

Does anyone know if the Aquatic radio will work with the Metra hand control interface for the '14-'15? It's supposed to adapt the hand controls to certain compatible radios. Not sure it it will work with the Aquatic just because it is already designed to work with the pre '14 hand controls.
