Are HD radio stations possible via the Infotainment system?

Has anyone noticed that HD radio stations have much better clarity (close to CD quality) than standard FM radio stations? I wonder if new software update can allow for this, or will it require changing the radio for one that is already capable?

My truck has the gets the hd stereo. I have to say I can tell the difference when the hd isn't working. Its much clearer that's for sure!

I believe that HD radio uses digital signals rather than analog so unless the radio has a digital tuner built in, I don't think it would be capable. Much like the over the air TV antenna when they switched to digital and you had to get a converter if your TV didn't have a digital tuner built in.
