Hi 2014 Streetglide upgrade questions
Front only upgrade
Looking for PLUG AND PLAY OPINIONS !!
FOSGATE O HOGTUNES LOOKING FOR HELP
THANKS IN ADVANCE

I have a Fosgate amp and Kenwood speakers in the fairing. I need to turn it down at 75-80 mph, it's that loud and clear.

Bought the amp and install kit from jpcycles and the speakers from crutchfield.

For the speakers: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113XM65F/Kenwood-Excelon-XM65F.html

The amp: https://www.jpcycles.com/product/ro...el-m5-element-ready-amplifier?sku_id=10090369

And install kit: https://www.jpcycles.com/product/ro...-for-harley-touring-2014-2022?sku_id=10309665

The amp appears to be out of stock at jpcycles, but is in stock at crutchfield. Same price at both places.

The majority of the amp install was plug-n-play. The only part that wasn't was from the amp outs to the speakers. Luckily I had an old amp kit available to scavenge the sockets for the speaker pods of off. The actual wiring harness comes with the install kit. Along with the wiring, it comes with the mounting plate, screws, and factory (HD) amp bypass plugs.

The amp puts out 100 watts per channel and 200 peak watts.

I put the JMC Rokker Stage 6 on my 2016 SGS . . . plug and play, flashes to Harley Boom Box. Love it after 7 years . . .

ONE MORE QUESTION!! ON ANY PLUG AND PLAY SET UPS DO I NEED TO TAKE THE TANK OFF FOR AMP POWER?
thanks
?

Yes. To properly run the power and ground you should remove the tank and wire caddy top cover

Whether or not you need to remove the tank for amp power installation depends on the specific plug and play setup you're using and the layout of your vehicle.
