I have a 2015 Street Glide just wanted to know where was the best place to tap into a power source in the fairing for the grips? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Yes there is but it's not connected to anything in the cowling of the street glide. It just hangs loose next to the fly by wire plug.

I called Avon about the grips I was installing on my 2015 Street Glide Special. 1st I was told by a tech that the heated grips that I bought off Ebay that the heated grips were for an 08-13 touring and would not work on my bike. They were list 08-15. Then I called them to purchase a new that would fit my bike from Avon. They told me as of Wednesday Avon pulled all of their heated grips off their web sight because of trouble with their controllers. I asked when they expected the problem to rectified they said it could be more then a year . So for now I am just putting Avon non heated grips on until they have a solution.

Oh crap...that sucks. I just installed a new pair on my new bars. Just need to hook them up. Crazy cause I have heard nothing but great things about the Avon heated grips. Hope I'm one of the lucky ones!!

Hope so if you call Avon ask to talk to Charlene. She can fill you in on the details of what's going on with their controllers, and what to do if you do end up having a problem with your new grips?

I am about to install Avon heated grips. I asked my dealer about where to get power from and they sold me a almost plug and play harness. It connects under left side cover. It has three wires and plug so if you want to add heated seat later. HD p/n 69200722. Fit 14' and newer touring models. I will have to let you know if it works.

Hope they work for you. I installed some about 3 years ago ran all the wiring in the bars and they only worked for a few months. Then they started coming on all the time without activating thru the switch. Thought it might be where I got power from (cigar lighter). So I tried a few other places. Still the same. I just cut the wires off the switch and put the stock cover back on my lever. I'm not dealing with trying to take it all out of the bars either it can all stay there
