Bag Lids

I recently purchased the Level 4 soundz kit with Focal 6x9's and the Hogtunes bag lids for my 15 street glide. I was mocking everything up prior to paint and realized that the Focals do not have a bridged tweet which I would assume would let some water in to my bags.

2 Questions.

Has anyone used the Hogtunes 6x9s and How do they sound in comparison to other brands?

Is anyone running the Focal 6x9s and how much water do they actually let in?

I have the opportunity of sending the Focals back as long as they have not been used and the bike is currently not wired up so I haven't even been able to listen to the hogtunes. I just want to know if they are worth the extra $350 and possibility of letting water in the bag.

I'm doing the same speakers and lids right now, I can tell you the 5x7's Focals didn't leak any water into my bags. I would assume the 6x9's will be the same. Keep the Focals, they are a much better speaker then the Hogtunes.

You must anticipate quite a difference to spend all that money to go from a 5x7 to a 6x9? Have you figured out how you are going to fill the gap where the tweeter gets removed? I was thinking about just cutting the tweeter mount if I stick with the Focals.

I do, 6x9's has a lot more surface area. As far as the hole goes I'm going to take a piece of abs plastic and welding it into the hole.
