I know, this is one of those questions that never dies. Sorry

I'm trying to figure if I should go with the HD Daymaker or the JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2.

Please give me your recommendation, whether it be one of these or another brand, based on your direct experience.

I definitely do not want HID, FYI.

Thanks!

The reflector LED light is made by Truck-Lite, the projector by JW Speaker. The H-D ones are the same items, H-D may not have the latest models in their inventory.

Hulkss, I see that you are running the JW Speaker headlight. Can you give me any feedback on it, specifically?

I bought it because I believe it's the best headlight available, uses less power, and has longer life than conventional bulbs. I have not run it enough at night to say really just how good it is.

Good morning rv7garage. Just submitting my setup and opinions. I run the HD projector LED and aux running lights with HD LED lamps. The original factory light setup was inferior at night for good illimination for me. I upgraded to the HD LED projector headlamp first without aux running lights. It did offer some improvement but was still lacking in total illumination. I did not think the sides of the road looking forward were lit very well. I then had the aux running lights installed with LED lamps. With that addition I think I hit the jackpot. I am VERY happy with my setup now. I also added the Custom Dynamics LED blinker lights for added visibility. They are the white halos when blinkers are not in use but turn to amber when blinking (on the front, red LEDs on the rear). I hope this helps. It probably cost me around $1700 for all the lighting. Expensive, yes, but now I can see and feel like people can see me.

Thanks, guys.

GAFLHXS, I do have the Ccustom Dynamics LED signals (same ones you have), but am using them in the stock lenses. I like the look. I definitely don't want the aux running lights -I want to keep the clean lines of the FLHX- so I've ordered the Evolution 2 and will report back with my impressions. Seems like it's basically an updated Daymaker projector; I'm excited to try it out.

I have the evolution 2 on my bike and yes the light is way better then stock. You won't go wrong getting one of these. Don't forget the Harley wiring harness (69200897) to convert it back to 1 plug instead of 2. Very simple install also.

Good luck and tell us what you think.

Yep, thanks Tom. I'm gonna hit the dealer today to pick that up, along with all the supplies for my thousand-mile service.

I'm looking forward to trying it out! I got the black headlight; I think it'll look good with my Red Sunglo paint.

Not positive but JWSpeaker makes the daymaker lights for Harley so they should work.

I installed the Evo 2 a couple of days ago.
Rode last night and road was lit up like a Christmas tree!

Amazing difference to stock headlight.
You'll be delighted with it!

I ordered mine on Amazon and had it here in a couple days. I am doing all of my upgrades at my 1k service so I will install it then and give some feedback. Doesn't sound like you can go wrong with this light tho.

I bought the day maker headlight , aux lights and aux light mounting kit for my 2015 sgs. Easy install, all plug and play. No splicing of wires at all. Pay close attention to instructions. Harley instructions horriable as usual. Cost was around $1100 with 20 percent discount. Anyone should be able to get the discount from Kutter Harleydavidson online.

Has anyone used the JW Speaker 4 inch lights for aux. lights?

Instead of the day maker 4 inch aux lights, I tried Motodynamic LED Aux lights. They look like day makers and its all plug and play.

The web site is still up Mojo, no phone support it says. There's always Surdyke, and Manchester. I looked at the aux lights, holy smokes those aren't cheap. I will say if those were added to my LED reflector headlight it would probably be like riding during the day.

Are these made? I was looking on Amazon, and they note 4" fog but only jeep people commented. I am going to buy the JW E2 but I need my Aux. lights to match. I'm anal like that.
