Is anyone using blue tooth earpieces and are there any that work with the 6.5 Nav?

I just want GPS direction sent to the earpiece and not via the speakers. HD points me in the direction of installing a wired head set and communication set up...since I am not using it that much, how do I redirect the GPS only to an earpiece?

Or is it even possible?

Since on the topic, what does everyone use for phone calls? I am trying to look up the best bluetooth ear piece for wind/noise reduction, but real world experience tends to trump most reviews.

Thanks

Not possible to just send GPS to the headset...And HD doesn't have an option for BT output. You could hook up something like this, which does work, but it takes a little backyard engineering and it will send whatever is going to the speakers to the headset.

I'm not sure because I'm not in front of my bike, but if you use the HD wired headset, you may be able to control what goes to the speakers and what goes to the headset. If you do the Bluetooth thing, that won't work.

As far as phone calls, I return calls when I stop. I bought two Bell Mag9 helmets with the SM10 intercoms and I'm not real impressed. The audio is acceptable when using intercom, but terrible when piping in music via Bluetooth from my phone..

HD doesn't do it because...........................SOMEONE MIGHT WANT IT!!!!

One more reason that they should fire every designer who had anything to do with this POS entertainment/GPS system..............Just sayin'

Sorry to conterdict you, but on my '14 you can send gps commands to the headset and everything else to the speakers.

Did you go wired? And do you happen to have the part number?

They want to sell me the entire communication package and I really just want Gps Togo to a danger piece and don't wanna drop a grand on it. Lol

I did go wired, you'll need the Boom Audio and Communications Kit.
The part number is 69200865 for the Rushmore bikes, and it retails for $69.95. I installed mine in the dash like the CVO Streetglide.

In order to have everything Bluetooth you need the
Sena SM10 Dual Stream Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter, and a Sena Bluetooth headset. Connect the transmitter to bike, and Bluetooth headset to transmitter. And you'll be able to use all the functions on the 14 and up SG.

I know this because I talked to the head tech guy at the dealership and before the new Rushmore bikes came out, apparently Harley wanted to partner with Sena to make a Bluetooth set to go completely wireless, but changed mind at last minute...
