I gotta say, I love the boom head unit. It's like talking to a toddler and expecting a logical response. Never mind that the nav can't be used within 5 minutes after start up or that it doesn't know how to properly indicate where your destination is or how to get there, but now mine has taken on another trait. Twice in the last week my bike has powered up playing audio of its choosing. It used to default to radio, but now it has twice defaulted to playing all tracks on my USB stick beginning with "lost in hollywood". Not even at the first alphabetically? My head unit is running the 1.9 firmware.
I really hope the next big update Harley does includes re-working the head unit. It's cumbersome, under powered, ridden with quirks and harder to set up than a vcr (which I never did figure out how to program a recording). I has features that are basically unusable too, like fuel economy over a trip but only if you are using nav to a destination and stay on the path. I wouldn't be surprised if it has more ecm access than they let on to, but we know Harley doesn't like to freely advertise things like engine and oil temp.
