BOOM! BOX 6.5GT and Android 9, no addresses when bluetooth syncing

I've bluetoothed my Google Pixel 2XL, running Android 9 to my BOOM! BOX 6.5GT running 1.22.0.1 (but other BB versions did the same)

I can select names and make calls...

However when I goto NAV and and attempt to select an address to map to... it says NO ADDRESS for ALL my contacts?! (shows the names and numbers)

most of my Google contact cards contain full and correctly formatted addresses (according to country layout etc).

I presume that the Boom Box is compatible with Droid and isn't just an Apple only device?

any particular formatting or shaman-rain-dance to getting them to appear?

TIA

I have a Samsung 8 and it works good. Have never tried to download my contact list or look at address's on the bike.

cheers TomA, when you say 'works good' what is it you are doing via your Samsung if you haven't used NAV to addresses? (just music?) {curious}

could you try a simple test for me?
I don't want you to copy your address book to the boom, just goto WHERE TO and pick FROM YOUR PHONE a contact you know has full address details on your phone and see what your bike says (mine clearly shows NO ADDRESS) next to the info

its will display the Name, the various phone numbers etc but no address

As this is all new to me, I don't know if I'm supposed to copy ALL contacts across (which will create another problem for me as I have more than 200 contacts in the phone)
OR I can read across the Bluetooth (what I was hoping to work)

presume folk can do that with an iPhone?

I will go out and give that a try and see what happens tomorrow. I started out with iPhones and have switched over to the android over a year ago. They all synced easy and I use one of my old iPhones to play music. I have the microphone install so I can talk while riding but only use it to let them know I will call them back. There is a thread on here from Spazz for that easy install if you can solder.

any luck with the test TomA ?

yeah I've read the instal stuff from Spazz, v.good. I'll give that a go when I've got to know my bike a little better.

It's all early days for me at the moment, so I'm learning lots of new ways to do stuff

Sorry for the long time before I got back with you. I couldn't get mine to do anything like that but I'm not really a tech guy. I know Spazz has his working some how.

no worries fella, thanks for trying

as I drown in Law Abiding Biker videos on Boom Box How To, I've also discovered that I can't read music via the wire to my Android 9 Google Pixel 2XL either :( ...even though there is music on my phone!

can't say I'm impressed that these basic features aren't straight forward with H-D,
but they are first world problems

still loving my new-to-me bike, it's about riding it! :D
