I currently use the USB connection 100% of the time for my thumb drive (music). Does anyone know if you can buy a USB splitter and then use one for thumb drive music and one to charge a phone or GO PRO etc.

Not sure what the rated amperage is or if it would just confuse the HU. Is there any reason you can't use the 12v port on the fairing?

I've found that the USB plugs that insert into the 12v port do not fit very tight and do not stay seated very well. Maybe I have bad plug or my port is not good.
I had the same issue so I replaced cigarette lighter with 2xUSB port plug and my problem is gone.....
Same thing with multiple adapters? That's weird.... I have a 14 FLHXS AND have never had that issue. The charger wiggles around a little bit, but it stays in on the road just fine.

BlkDragon - I found the install thread and the link to the USB Port Plug. The description of the plug indicates it's for IPAD and IPhone can I assume it will charge devices other than "I" devices?
