I'm picking up my '14 SG Special today and considering adding a center stand. My garage space is limited and it's going to be a tight fit. I've seen an ad for a "dolly" that allows you to keep the bike sitting upright and easy to move around.

It sounds like a great idea but before spending money on a center stand then additional money on the "dolly" I want to make sure the center stand will fit and that it doesn't cause problems.

Dr Len is spot on. These are sold many places including a Harley version for $259 (less any discounts)*
Engaging a center stand on a 850 lb motorcycle is pretty tough.

*As an MVP member at my dealer, I can get 15% off so it makes it about $220 and change.

I installed an EZ-UP center stand on my '14 SGS and I like it for fueling, cleaning, etc. I also bought a Park-and-Move to spin my bike around in the garage to prevent having to back down a slope but I seldom use it. The problem is that I need to ride the bike up on a pair of 3/4" plywood pads to keep the lift distance from being more than I can handle. Then, all four wheels on the dolly have to be locked before I can rock the bike off the dolly. It works but I find it easier just pick up my bike and spin it around with my J&S Lift. The only problem there was the bolt attaching the EZ-UP is right where the rear lift is which makes for a slightly crooked pick-up. I solved this by adding a spacer on the lift arm to compensate for the bolt head height difference. Works like a charm.

Hey Granpita, thanks for the info. I've been looking at several options and learned that Park-N-Move now makes a lift for big bikes without a center stand. It cost about the same as a center stand so I'm going to go with that option. I'll post a review and let everyone know how it works.

So cool! I've never seen this device before! Thanks for the update.

Update - I've had the park and move for a couple of weeks and can't say enough good things about how great it's built and how effortless it makes moving my bike.
