I ordered a corbin saddleman seat for my street glide about 3 weeks ago. The seat was $493 plus $42 shipping VIA UPS ground. Today I get a call from Michael out of their Florida office and he said my seat was ready for delivery but he needed an extra $20 because they had made a mistake on the shipping. When I told him to just cancel the order he said there would be a re-stocking fee. I then told him I would just turn it over to my credit card company, he then said he would try to cut the box down and find a cheaper shipper. I also learned that after our initial conversation he is suddenly not available to take any more phone calls. How does a company stay in business operating like this?

Corbin makes a great seat but they are definitely hard to deal with........they come from the "Old Biker" school........just sayin' as I have 3 of their seats :D

I agree Paul they do make a great seat but they have to have a good product to stay in business with that kind of customer service.

Yep. I love the feel of the seat they made for me, but I was not happy with their customer service. Even though they have a great product, I expect a bit more in the customer service area if I'm going to drop big change on something.

To the original poster- it's like they are trying to hold you hostage.... I hope it all works out in your favor.

Have has the pleasure of Corbin customer service in the past. (NOT) I swore I'd never buy another seat from them again, but dang, they make a great looking and comfortable seat IMO. Was hoping with Mike Corbin retiring and wanting to sell, someone would buy it that knows what customer service is all about!

What a F%$#&* Idiot, thanks for the advice. I 'll never call them, plenty of good seat makers on the market with good customer service.

Have a brother who ordered a seat and received it without the riders back rest ordered. Took him 4 months to get it and a call every other day until it showed up. He hates the seat now as it has become hard to him after 3000 miles. I would just turn them in for credit card fraud and see how fast they call you to fix this problem.

I've had both Corbin and Mustang seats and to my arse the Mustang is better and their much better people to deal with.

WTF is the "old biker" school, bully, intimidate, and outright fraud? If that's the case, I hope they soon fade into "new bankrupt business" school.
The original post would me me think twice about ordering from them, this posted made it a never.

In my opinion Corbin really needs to work on their customer service dept. but I love the seat!!
