Daytona Bike Week 2016

I haven't seen much chatter on here. Anyone going? We were heading out from Kentucky on the 9th, but the wife and another friend on a Crotch Rocket wanted to go and neither can ride that far so we will be towing down.

There will be 3 SGS and 1 GSXR. We will be there from the night of the 9th-13th.

Many that have gone in past years from the SE are skipping it this year They were citing the crowds and cops as a major issue. I went a few years back and there were long lines everywhere-once was enough for me. personally I liked visiting and chatting with all the vendors.

I go every year, mainly because Main Street is only about a 2 1/2 hour ride from my house. It's getting old after 43 years. Ain't like the old days. Too many squids on crotch rockets that ride like... Well, you know.... They're the ones that have caused the increase in Law Enforcement IMO.
Also getting tired of all the "Big Wheel Clown Bagger Trailer Queens".
The shows are getting boring to me. Even the races are not the same. The Cabbage Patch has gone down the tubes too.
Biketoberfest is much more laid back. Closer to the OLD BIKEWEEK.

But I'll still go. We've already rented a Condo for the week.
We keep saying, "That's it! ...This is our last year". But then we end up going. Can't miss Super-X. Been to every one since it started.

I'll be heading up there one day next week. I'm only about 70 miles away and usually go up every year just to check out some vendors and to say I was there.

Daytona Bike Week 2016

Three of us are driving down from North Carolina on Monday and returning Friday. Last year was my first time and it was a good time. It's a lot of miles in the saddle but that's ok. The weather forecast is looking real good.

Not sure if this is the right area for this post BUT I have a question. Was riding from Daytona Beach headed to St Augustine during this years Bike Week for a day trip. Noticed a photographer on A1A taking pix and was told they get posted online. Would you know the site? Thanks

Theres a guy named Don Howard (Don Howard Photography) that sets up at different locations at BikeWeek (mostly on the Tamoka Loop), but he puts his stuff on his FACEBOOK Site. I hate social media crap so my FaceBook account was closed years ago, but if you have Face book, you might wanna check it out.
