DIY speaker grills

I'm in the middle of installing an amp/speaker upgrade (Arc Audio MPAK 11 - thanks Karl @ No Cage Audio!) in a 15 SGS.

I figure if I'm putting in this work and money - and I'm never taking these stupid pods off again! - I may as well change the grills. The ones that came with the Arc speakers is a pretty cool silver mesh, but not made to fit the opening. I'm thinking of popping the cloth grill off the stock and cutting the Arc grill to the same shape. Then I can mount it back onto the stock frame and screw it in.

Anyone do anything similar or have other ideas?

I haven't done it but would like to do the exact same thing. Just purchased some Arc Moto's from Karl at No Cage and really like the look of the grill. It's WINTER here so unfortunately can't play around too much yet! Please post if you come up with a solution.

The screen on the stock grills pops off easy, and I figure since I can't use the Arc screens I have nothing to lose. :)

Hog Tunes has some different grills for the 14+ SG's and they are well built
