Hey Guys, If this has already been asked then I'm sorry, I missed it. I was reading up on exhaust for my 16 SGS and have come down to V&H Dresser Duals and V&H Power Duals, either with V&H Monster rounds. I noticed one fella made a comment that when he put on his dresser duals it killed his ability to lean to the right drastically in corners because the pipes would drag all to hell, way before the point of dragging a foot board. My question is have any of you had this same problem with the Dresser Duals? For all that money I do not want them to drag... Thanks in advance!

I have a '14 SGS with V&H Dresser Duals. I have never had a drag. I have the twin slash slip-ons.

No problems at all with dragging here.

Dresser duals with Hi Output Slip-ons work perfectly!

I have the power duals and the only place I have drug mine are in housing development with speed bumps on a hard lean finding the shortest crossing. I have heard from others that these will scrape when you do lots of hard cornering and bumpy roads.

They are going to drag before you lean over enough to touch the foot-boards.

Feedback is that the power duals drag where the collection box or whatever the correct name is for the big X looking thing is. I have run three different sets of Dressers and never drug them.....footboards, now that's another story!

Here is the story where I found the photo: not-happy-with-vance-and-hines-dresser-duals
I remember watching that thread, have to wonder about him fabbing up the hillbilly "footboard scrapers". Sounds like he's not the only one having issues but they sure work good for me and the outsides of my boards are ground down a little from playing too hard. I also have a set on my RoadKing with 11" shocks and no dragging. Dunno.....

I just completed the stage 1 and put the V&H Dresser Duals put on my 2015 SGS. Hope I do not run into any issues with dragging! Sorry to hear about those that have experienced it.

So... with the ones that are dragging, could it be as simple as weight of rider/passenger? The heavier the load the closer to the ground you are, per say?

Mine dragged and I weigh 165lbs. These pipes simply hang lower than the frame, whereas others don't. It only happened once and I've been extra cautious ever since.

Yep, I have them on a 14 SGS and have skint the crap outta my X on mine! It's true, ride hard and you will drag it!! But I will say, since I have put the MA785 airs shocks on I have not had this problem yet. Just make sure you have the air up in them

On my 2015 SGS I have the Dresser Monster Rounds with Power dual headers and HO Arlen Ness and never scraped or dragged and I ride aggressively.

My definition of aggressive riding is clearly not the same as yours! Lol
What I meant is that I'm not worrying about my turns or in and out of sharp curves. I just ride with peace of mind and ride hard. No problem yet
