I bought a lower fairing kit from neverland-aus. It was cheap and I was only going to use it for bad winter riding. I watched the installation video and it looked alright. They sent nothing to attach the vent section or the lower half of the lowers to the bike. Their communication is terrible. I know you live and learn on ebay but this should be a warning to all who see this company's products. They sell air deflectors without hardware as well.

I gave up on ebay. My last purchase was a set of Kuryakyn grips. The quality was terrible and at close inspection the packaging and product looked like a cheap Chinese imitation. When I tried to return it, I got no reply. I complained to PayPal and then the vendor offered an in store credit. I finally got my money back and have have stopped shopping on ebay. Even PayPal was no help. I eventually went to my credit card company and got my credit. I no longer use PayPal either. I will buy from reputable companies only, even if I pay a few more dollars. I am sick of Chinese junk.

A lot of people have learned the hard way, I would try getting a refund on that, then go to ebay....although I have no faith in ebay to actually resolve anything. At the very least I'd give them crappy feedback, they don't like that.

Now, I don't buy anything unless I research the "you know what" out of it.

Buy the quick detach kit instead, there's a decent vendor on ebay selling them and the bar clamps look so much better.

I bought my 14 Glide one year ago September I rode till November and put it to bed for the winter. I surfed evilbay for several Months for parts resulting in aprox $2000 of parts retail price for $780. The kicker here is that the items I bought are ALL Harley parts and most are take offs listed by dealers. Everything fits well and is of good quality. I have not made a regrettable purchase as all items were HD part numbers.
If a person knowingly buys cheap over seas parts and then complains about Ill fitment and poor quality, shame on them!

Very true. Thats how I've bought most of my stuff...off eBay and its all genuine Harley parts. I have bought a couple things that weren't Harley but maybe I got lucky as the quality is acceptable but far cheaper than what a Harley branded item would have cost. I'm still on the fence about their knock-off Daymaker headlights....wondering if I should fork out $149 or just spend another $149 and get the real deal....

What I bought was sold and labeled as Kuryakyn, a highly respected company. What I received was imitation, product and package.

Sounds like you were really Duped on that one Bones. There are quality aftermarket companies that have been around for a long time as you suggest and it's a sad deal when someone jumps in with a cheesy imitation which could possibly tarnish that company's reputation in certain instances.
I was surfing EB for a shift linkage Rod yesterday and it's truely amazing the bogus junk offered. The actual HD part I want is $129 but the Chinese junk version of a similar part is $20 including hardware. I think the first shift the rider makes would probably blow the thing to pieces. If I were to buy that and expect it to perform then I would be the fool. Heck, I noticed one shift Rod with Harley script and Harley-Davidson is spelled wrong. Probably to skirt legal issues.
Anyway. Enough rant. I always look for HD part numbers and lots of pictures when I buy EB

Yeah, you really have to read through the fine print and pay attention to things like e-hobby asia and where they are from ect. I've been thinking about exchanging my stock rims for the chromed ones and I made sure I did some digging to see if the company was US based, location and a phone number to real people. But then again trust issues are an occupational hazard lol.
