Does the harley ecm (2010 flhx with the screaming eagle stage 2 and SESTP) have an adaptive learning curve?
I have been dealing with issues on this bike since I bought it in June of 2015. Runs stupid hot, and pings under acceleration. the dealer has had my bike for about 5 weeks. Found out that the tuner they gave me when I bought it was not the one for my bike. Also found out the intake that was on there is not the one that supposed to be on there was not the. It was stock, and not the big sucker.
They told me the lean condition was being caused by the restrictive intake causing the bike to lean out the fuel mixture. So they replaced the intake and gave me a new SESTP. They also put on a new map.
Riding the bike home, it seemed to run worse than when I dropped it of. still pinging, coughing every so often, and of course popping on decel.
My question is, does the ECM need to "relearn" the fuel trims after a remap like my car does if I do any tuning on it?
