As a lot of us have found out, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason with the new radio files. Well, took my bike to the dealer today, so I updated the software last night to 1.19.1 and after the update I just made sure it still worked and left it at that. So while I was getting the 25K done I had them check the flash to make sure it was good (according to the BT suggested method). They said all good and home I went.

So sitting here reading up on some audio threads and I decide to go play with my radio, hit the fader button and nothing. Shut the bike off and turn it back on, look at the fader and it's in a different position. Do it again and same thing, all the way to the rear, I count off the number of spots I want to move it, hit the button and shut the bike off. Turn bike on and it's where I wanted it, turn the volume up and it appears the fader actually works but just not until you turn the bike off/on.

Anyone see the same thing with your radio? Current file is 16_off.bin

Here's 3 pictures showing the movement. The downside is I found 3 trouble codes, ugh.

I wish I would have never done the flash at all and just got one of those magic boxes from cycle sounds. I wish there was a way to go back to default without having to go to the dealer.

I was kind of worried about doing it, however the upgrade didn't affect my flash at all, I was hoping the AVC would start working but so far it hasn't, might try a reset today. But I'm actually a bit pleased that the fader works now, even if it is a bit screwy as it was previously set for mostly front speakers. Now I've got a little better sound out of the rears. So I'll count this as a slightly good thing for once.

And on a better note I think I fixed the trouble codes I found, seems one of the connectors wasn't put back in fully under the fairing.
