FP3 may have bitten the dust

So............I've Had my FP3 actually installed for about 600 miles and did the first flash with the closest configuration to my set-up as well as one or 2 flashes after running auto-tune and this really helped the bike runs great now. I still have it in auto tune and I'm currently on a 3 week trip through CA, NV and OR so I]m really looking forward to getting some great all around data into the system. I tried to connect to my unit today and it won't connect......tried resetting the BT configuration in the phone and while it says it's connected the APP says no connection to FP3. BT on the phone says connected but nothing.

So I pulled off the side cover just to see that it was still plugged in all the way and it is. Turned off the key and then back on and the unit lights up as follows: left light comes on for a minute, then the 2nd position starts to blink BUT the first light is blinking on and off real fast while at the same time the 2nd light is blinking like it wants to pair.......my first inclination is that the FP3 may have failed but as it's Saturday couldn't call V&H so I thought I'd throw this one out and see if anyone has any ideas.

I did try the following already; Removed the BT profile in the phone and tried to reconnect.....no go. Also unplugged the unit and re-plugged it and also went through the connection process....no go.

Any ideas??.............I'm guessing a lot of the guys that really know this thing are heading to Sturgis but hoping someone will will have an idea?????

Looking forward to feedback on your issue. The FP3 is lurking in my Amazon shopping cart, just waiting for me to pull the trigger, but it'll be a few weeks before I do.

FP3 may have bitten the dust

Update.....
I called V&H the other day and the damn thing connected and flashed the last auto tune while I was on the phone with Shane at V&H.....cool as he thought the issue was that I didn't have a good enough signal. Well the next day when I was riding I thought I'd open the app and use the gauges....NOT. It wouldn't connect while the bike was running even though the Bluetooth profile on the phone showed connected.....I deleted the Boom Radio BT profile just in case it was conflicting.....I'm pretty disappointed as I'm on this long trip and I was really looking forward to having the additional engine info available for the trip......oh well V&H is open again tomorrow so I'll call in the morning and see what they say.

I noticed on mine that sometimes ( twice ) the pin connections on the FP3 slide back just enuf to make a loose and intermittent connection. I unplugged my FP3 and pushed all the pins back into the connector and haven't had a problem for about 6 months now... FYI

I'll give that another try....I did unplug and re-insert it once last week but I'll give it another try....thanks!!

Having something similar...
I've been in Autotune for a week or so now, so this morning when I pulled in to work I thought I'd check the map. the Bluetooth says it is connected, but when I hit the button to see the map it says "Not a valid motorcycle." I didn't have time to mess with it, but I turned the bike off and on, and reset the Bluetooth and still the same message.
Maybe someone stole my bike and replaced it with an identical copy, but a different VIN?
