So I bought my friends bike that was in an extremely minor crash that I was there for. The frame has already been examined by a dealership and isn't bent or twisted but the tab that mounts the crash bar snapped off. He bought the bike back from insurance and sold it to me for cheap because they wanted to replace the frame. My plan is to have a machine shop clean up the frame side and then make a new mount and then weld it on. Anyone done this and have any advice for me to give the shop?
