Tried dielectric grease. Happened again and again. Cleared codes, yada, yada.

Yesterday I got 4 houses away and it died. No limp mode.... Got it back in the garage and noticed the voltage decreasing as I tried to start it.

(Been having issues with the audio system as well. Works erratically, comes back on by itself after diag mode)

Today I figured I'd check for broken wires/connections on the throttle positioning wires. Totally dead battery. Got some juice in it and went into diag mode and it's signalling p/n 69994-12A, Body Control Module.

Is it as simple as replacing it? 2014 Street Glide

TIA for your attention

Any mods, like audio or handle bars or hand grips?

None......
I think your on the right track with the battery than, if your battery isn't holding a good cranking amp charge that could be the issue and 2014's have a history of bad batteries, especially with the audio system intermittent. Now the battery is about 3 years old.

What diagnostic code is it displaying? I'm going from memory but I thought BCM codes are accessory, like lights and stuff.

Are you using a battery tender when your bike sits in the garage? If not, you really should.

I've got a good charge going on it now. Using the fast start mode I've got good cranking but no ignition. No codes are showing but I've seen ECM N BCM Y. Continuing on BCM I get a part number, 69994-12A. Previously I got a 1511 code.

I like where this may be leading, a junk battery is an easy fix, but costly if it's not the cure.

What kind of voltage drop are you getting on the bikes volt meter during start up? My experience is less than 8 or so ain't good. Check the obvious as well like battery connections.

I'm going to let it charge over-night and try again tomorrow afternoon. But if I remember correctly, the voltage dropped down well into the left side of the gauge yesterday during the cranking.

BTW, thanks for your help so far.

I think if you are the typical dead battery clicking noise or nothing at all its most likely the battery. But you may want to have the bikes charging system checked as well, as when it fails it kills batteries

Set the charger to normal for the night. This morning it would not turn-over, had to use the emergency start function on the charger. Would not start. I will guess it may need a battery but not sure if that would fix the limp mode problem. I will add that I didn't use a trickle-charger during the winter and had key fob issues as the riding season began. Changed the battery on it. And the radio issues....

Tried a new battery today. No luck...

Got these codes from it: (Can't find a 2014 DTC list, looking in the wrong place?)

62104
62113
62138
62271
U0100 Lost comm w/ECM
U0184 Lost comm w/radio
C1178 Rear circuit pressure sensor error

Edit: Found some

Select "Tech Articles" from menu at top of page page down to Diagnostic codes.
I think first four items start with a B instead of a 6. Easy to mistake on a small screen

Does the motor turn over with the starter engaged?

Thanks for the link. Originally read it as a "P" and was thinking, "WTF?" Re-read it today and found the codes:

B2104 System Power Output Overload
B2113 Accessory Output Shorted Low
B2138 Lowbeam Output Shorted Low
B2271 BCM Low Voltage
U0100 Lost comm w/ECM
U0184 Lost comm w/radio
C1178 Rear circuit pressure sensor error

Now to interpret them.....

Have you tried clearing the codes since new battery install? To make sure your only chasing new issue codes.

this code is concerning and it maybe time to see the shop and a diagnostic tool. you could double check your spark/coil wires for proper installation and do a connector check under the fairing. be sure to clear codes prior to attempting a re-start and note each display. keep us posted on the outcome, hope your back up again soon.

B2104 - System power output overloaded

Possible Causes:
Short to ground in the system power circuit
Ignition coil resistance too low
Front coil shorted low
Rear coil shorted low
Active intake resistance too low
Active exhaust resistance too low
Front HO2S resistance too low
Rear HO2S resistance too low
Front fuel injector resistance too low
Rear fuel injector resistance too low
ACR resistance too low\Purge solenoid too low

That many electrical related codes usually means a bad harness. I used to be a service tech years ago and when I would see multiple electrical codes like this it was always a bad wiring harness.
