Ok so this winter I did LED dash lights, updated to sony stereo, and added Rockford fosgate rear speakers. I cleaned up the radio wiring rca instead of high level inputs to arc amp.
So here is what is going on. Sitting in garage everything is great, everything works. Drive down the road, and I lose intermittently all my dash lights, all gauges still work just no lights. Keep driving and they will come back on. Also the right rear speaker will start distorting and popping. I don't think the two are related. Because leds will work and speaker still distorts, then all of a sudden speaker will be fine. I have torn the front fairing apart 3 or 4 times now, checked all the plugs and looked for shorted wires.
Where else should I be looking for a wire that just controls just the dash lights. The radio I can run and track down what is going on with it. But the lights are killing me.
