12's will be the normal for no change out, just extension wiring... though I can honestly say that I personally helped out on 14's with nothing more than wires ..... it can be done, but depends on the bars.

Changed to 12" Khrome Werks on my 2015 SG Special about 300 miles ago. Don't really care to do that again. Once everything was through the bars- I have HD heated handgrips, there wasn't much wiring sticking out of the middle hole at the bottom of the bars, with the exception of the TPS. The clutch and the front brake cables are maxed out. Ordered the NAMZ 8" wiring extensions, didn’t have to cut any wires as they are truly plug and play. Took apart the TPS end that connects to the bike, put back together as per the You Tube vid- no big deal, just make sure you take pics, make a sketch of it before you take it apart.

I didn’t have to remove the tank. All is well, no trouble codes and all works just fine. Bars are 36" wide so it makes quite a bit of difference in how to control the bike- takes some getting used too. I ended up putting on some cheap mirrors I bought on Amazon. Just couldn't get used to lifting my arms to use the mirrors. Love the bars- bad ass look. I'm 6'-1", so the stock bars were way too small.

NOTE: Make sure you pull the main 50 amp fuse first. Once bars are installed and all is wired in, check all operations and functions while you still have the fairing off. I used a checklist to be sure I checked all functions. I start the bike and put it in gear too just to be sure all was working.
