Hey everyone I have a 2014 sgs. So far I have CFR slipons, a decatted stock head pipe, Vance and Hines fp3 tuner, a K and N filter. Took off the backing plate of the air cleaner and used a hole saw to cut out a out 5 half inch holes in the plate. I'm thinking I'm probably some where in the neiborhood of 80 hp and 90 tq. Anyone have a better idea? Any one dyno the same setup I have?? Any info would be great. Thanks. Rob

My better idea is: no holes = no hot intake air.
Stock, un-modified air cleaner assembly with a K&N filter should provide plenty of fresh air for a stage 1.

I know that most of the stage one air cleaner setup have no back at all to them so I was thinking that what I did would be like the best of both worlds. Full backing plate but there are holes all around the edge of the housing.

There are many head pipes to pick from that work better than a stock decatted head pipe. Harley now has several well done 110 kits if you want more power and torque.

I'm just looking to see if any one know how much power this set up
would make to the tire.

I'm guessing that there is a lot of thought that goes into the shape of the stock backing plate so the air flow is optimized, drilling holes breaks up the air flow.
But, I don't think you'll be able to tell the difference, holes or no holes in the stock backing plate.
In your original post, your HP and torque numbers are probably close. I don't think many people get a dyno tune for a stage 1 since the bolt on tuners these days do a pretty good job.
Get the 120ST for some better numbers, like the boss.

True, but the primary purpose of the shape is to act as an intake silencer so H-D can make the exhaust as loud as possible and still satisfy the Feds.

That makes sense, the stock CVO mufflers I have on my bike are loud enough without the cat to keep me happy.
