Ignition switch cover issues

Help. I've got the ignition switch cover stuck open some how. It isn't actually stuck in one place but won't snap shut now. The ignition switch still rotates and works but I would like to close the cover before riding or parking it in the rain.

The dealership replaced the whole switch under ESP with a $50 deductible. Seems like their should have been an easier fix but at least it's done.
