Those are 2 of the reasons why I didn't purchase a 24 or newer street glide.
As far as getting AA to work on your IFCU, I've heard tails of some using some type of box like this, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMQZPK1Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to enable it. But it seems more of a hassle than it's worth to me.
H-D had carplay in the GTS head units when it was first introduced. It wasn't until 2 years later when they enabled Android Auto on it.

You could get a cheap old IPhone and just leave it in the bike???
