I have been considering purchasing an ipod to play Spotify with since my only phone is my work iphone and memory is limited. I started to research which ipod to buy and have discovered that Spotify will no longer work with the newer generations of ipods. Is anyone else out there using Spotify on something other than a phone and if so with what media player are you using and does it work with Boom Box 6.5?

GlobalGlide- You can do that but I moved away from the iPhone tunes to a USB stick. If I'm on a long trip I still connect my iPhone via USB and then Bluetooth my earbuds inside my helmet.

Can you explain further? I have a full face helmet with a Sena SMH10R. Are you able to connect your phone to the bike to charge via USB and then still BT to your helmet? I am still perplexed on how to use my iPhone, Sena, and BoomBox together.

I have Spotify premium because I work out of the country and do not have wifi a lot of the time. With premium the songs are saved to the app on my iphone, I cannot transfer them to a flash drive or USB stick. My company gives me a 16gb iphone and with the few apps I have there's not much room left so I was looking for alternatives. As far as media players that work with Boom Box, I see that the only one mentioned in the manual is ipod.

So- I connect my smartphone via USB in the jukebox. I then connect via Bluetooth my earbuds to the phone and use the LH toggle on the handlebars to advance or replay from my phones playlist. And yes, the USB connection also charges my phone. I do not have the Sena BT headset, I use the LG Tone Pro's. They buds fit in my ears and then I slip the helmet on.

So you can listen to the music via BT and control from the bike?
