Does the magic box diminish or decrease the HD head unit control for bass and treble adjustments +|- ? Thanks.

No, a simple explanation would be that it defeats the eq curve coming from the stock head unit and allows the new external amp do what it does

just so I understand, so the magic box does remove (defeat) EQ inputs? I ask because after I set the frequency and gain on my amp input, while at flat or neutral EQ setting (bass/treb) on the HD unit. Once Amp set complete, the bass treble setting do not seem to have a noticeable response for my preferred listening setting.

That's weird, but yes it defeats the stock eq, maybe spazz or someone else can explain why yours is doing that

the only thing I can assume, is that the magic box removes amplified signals and an EQ input is an amplified signal.

I don't like the results
works fine on USB media

but using the radio way to much bass , even cycle sound had no clue how to help me

guess i have to go to the steelership to get radio flashed after all

The more I think about it, I believe the HD EQ is not passive, so I am betting it is similar to the old school set up like a Kraco receiver with integrated amp and EQ.
