Lower Back support

IF you haven't tried it yet, try adjusting the angle with the adjustment screw at the base of the backrest. The only other option I am familiar with is Mustang's solo seat with backrest. I think the backrest from Mustang would be available for other seats, only familiar with the solo seat version. Any way, the Mustang one goes up and down in several positions. It may be an option for you.

I have the Mustang rider back rest and it is the best upgrade I have made yet. it goes up/down, front to back and tilts. Using it with highway pegs is like riding around in my lounge chair

I got the Kuryakyn Plug In Driver Backrest for Touring KUR-1670... and love it.
Used on many trips. It adjusts up and down, and flips front and back. Got for $133 last year at Cycleplicity.

HD Adjustable rider backrest, watch ebay or check out Board Tracker HD, Surdyke, Manchester HD.

Second the Mustang solo seat with backrest. The seat is available in a standard size or wide. I am a small frame; 5'8" 140lbs and ordered the standard size which has absolutely no extra butt room even for me. I chose this seat because of extensive lumbar injury from a recent accident where I was rear ended on my bike. Just the Mustang seat along provides really good lower back support since it has a lot of support that will meet up about at your belt line. Then add the removable backrest and it's about as good as it gets! The backrest is adjustable up/down but requires loosening up a bolt and/or forward/back which just a twist of a thumb screw.

If you intend to ride w/ passenger and the addition of the rear seat, I'd strongly consider going with the Mustang wide as there isn't much cushion for your passenger with the accompanying standard size rear seat. Not a big deal for me as I have multiple seats to change out but certainly should be a consideration when you are looking. The lowest price I found for the Mustang was at revzilla. I would absolutely buy this seat again and I fact it has become my favorite on the SGS.
